Eco Home Check is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want as many people as possible to find and use our energy grant eligibility checker.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We work to ensure the site can be used by:
- Screen reader users
- People who navigate using a keyboard only
- People who use voice recognition software
- People who increase text size or change colours using browser settings
- People on slow internet connections
What we have done
- All pages have a unique, descriptive page title
- All images have appropriate alternative text
- Colour contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimums throughout
- The site is navigable by keyboard in a logical order
- Interactive elements have visible focus states
- Form inputs have clearly associated labels
- The page language is declared in HTML
- Headings follow a logical hierarchy on every page

We are a small team and some areas of the site are still being improved. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us and we will address it as a priority.

This site is built with Next.js and uses semantic HTML throughout. We test using keyboard navigation and automated tooling, and we review accessibility as part of every code change.
