About Eco Home Check
Our Mission
The UK government has made billions of pounds available in energy grants — but the information about who qualifies, how to apply, and which installers to trust is fragmented, jargon-heavy, and constantly changing. Eco Home Check exists to cut through that complexity. We research, verify, and present clear, accurate information about energy grants and home efficiency upgrades so that any UK household can make a confident, informed decision — without needing to hire a consultant or wade through government documentation.
What We Do
Our service is built on three pillars:
Independent research and comparison
We research UK energy grant schemes including the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, ECO4 and local authority programmes. Our guides explain eligibility, grant amounts and scheme status using primary sources including GOV.UK and Ofgem.
Free eligibility checking
Our checker uses your property and household answers to highlight grants that may be relevant. Results are indicative: the scheme provider makes the final eligibility decision.
Help with your next steps
Our guides explain how to apply for grants and check installer credentials. You can submit an enquiry to Eco Home Check for review; any proposed installer introduction will be explained before your details are shared.
How We Operate
Eco Home Check is an independent UK editorial resource on energy grants and home efficiency upgrades. We launched in 2026 and are currently independently funded. We plan to earn affiliate commissions and direct installer referral fees — see How We Earn for full details. See our Legal page for full operator details.
